Portland Trail Blazers

Broadcasting Research Project

Overview

I had the privilege of working with the Portland Trail Blazers on a project that combined my passion for marketing and research with the dynamic world of sports broadcasting. The Blazers’ marketing team tasked me to garner insights to help reevaluate their current broadcast agreement. I conducted comprehensive research to uncover their fan base's nuanced preferences and behaviors. Through a meticulously designed survey, I unearthed pivotal insights and presented my findings in a report (seen below) to the marketing and broadcast team. This project gave me practical experience in survey design, data analysis using SPSS, and presentation of insights to management at the Moda Center.

Highlights

I take particular pride in one aspect of this report: the demonstration of my skill in synthesizing intricate data into practical recommendations and in conveying research outcomes clearly. To enhance clarity, especially for those not well-versed in the mathematical nuances, I incorporated a section titled "What does this mean?" in the data-dense slides. This addition aimed to make the presentation more accessible and understandable to stakeholders lacking expertise in data analysis.
